From: zeio on 5 Nov 2007 13:33 I'm having the same problem here, Windows 2003 SP2, Exchange 2003 SP2. Mine is happening on IMAP4SVC. It happens every time a particular user here checks his email via IMAP. I have tried everything as well, including disabling AV, and tried everything I could find on this issue. Here is my error message: ====================== Event Type: Error Event Source: IMAP4SVC Event Category: Content Engine Event ID: 1023 Date: 10/29/2007 Time: 5:48:52 AM User: N/A Computer: CORE Description: Error 0x7da occurred while rendering message 0001-0000000ff2b2 for download for user user(a)contoso.com. For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. Data: 0000: 41 0b 0d 00 A... ====================== The message number changes if the bad message is moved. I don't know how to delete that message administratively either. The message number is not "findable" in any way I know how. I decoded the error too, and found 0x7da relates to some color or character display junk. The user is using the latest Thunderbird and he gets an RFC 822 error every time he checks the mail folder with this message in there. I do not have excessive logging enabled either. This is a very sinister problem, I despise when error messages can't be fixed, why isn't this in a KB already?
