From: Vahis on 19 Mar 2010 13:15 11.2 seems not to have MySql support in Amarok? Amarok Version 2.1.1 Using KDE 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5) "release 0" 11.3 seems to have it in Amarok 2.2.90 I can't believe that it's been dropped in 11.2. Then again, 2.3.0-5.1 seems to be available in KDE:Backports/openSUSE_11.2 This is confusing. Install libmysqlclient-devel and mysql from software management. Version 5.0 works. Restart amarok and rescan collection. -- EOS www.photo-memories.be Running KDE 4.4.1 / openSUSE 11.2

I wouldn't be wondering this if I didn't have mysql installed and running. > Install libmysqlclient-devel and mysql from software management. Version 5.0 > works. Restart amarok and rescan collection. I didn't have libmysqlclient-devel installed since I've never needed it. I installed it just in case - no change. Amarok configuration in 11.2 does not have the option for mysql. In 11.3 it does though, just as always did before 11.2 Vahis -- http://waxborg.servepics.com openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64) 2.6.31.12-0.1-desktop 21:35pm up 5 days 11:25, 1 user, load average: 1.67, 1.74, 1.02

I know it's there. I was just wondering why it is not in the one that comes with 11.2 out of the shelf, 2.1.1..
