From: Qazart on 26 Apr 2010 23:31 Due to the number of attachments that people have to go through each day, there should be a "close and delete" button included in Office apps, allowing users a one-button solution to disposing of files once they are done viewing the content, instead of closing it and then having to go locate it on the desktop or other file and delete it. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Where oh where did my little file go when I clicked the close button on the ribbon. You know the one right next to the save one. No I didn't know that was what the button was for as the first word in the popup was close..... Take the time to do correct computing. Don't save files to the desktop but to a "view and then anything left at the end of the day gets deleted folder." Anything you want to save is placed into another folder that is backed up at the end of the day. That way you shouldn't delete really important files and even should you do it you have one last chance from recovering from the recycle bin.
From: Bob I on 27 Apr 2010 08:24 The system already does that automatically, UNLESS the USER starts saving attachments willy nilly all over the place. It's the USERS responsiblity to manage the files they wish to save, so if you don't want them saved, DON'T save them! Again, DON'T SAVE the files if you don't want to delete them.
