From: Space Wombat #3 on 30 Apr 2010 06:21 Chums My G5 iMac (1.8, big screen) has had a lot of use and seems to be on its last legs It has been used pretty much non stop for a self employed business (my partner) the kids, web use, DVD burning and various music projects. So far it has two replacement powerpacks, and now the screen is starting to funny - with single pixel thick lines/hashed patterns appearing. I cannot afford a new glossy imac, but I seem to recall that last time it almost died, there was a very useful response on this group = to a UK company (that was trusted by several posters) that sold refurbished imacs. I would like an improvement over my current imac.... any suggestions? Thanks PS everything is backed up from the trusy imac.... PSS my old G3 DV imac is still going strong as a DVD player and "Bugdom" machine.....
