I would replace "offends" with, "takes away the rights of", and "majority"

I don't see how cross-posting takes away rights. Nor do I think we
have to avoid offending anyone. If that was the criterion then nothing
would ever get done as there is always somebody who will be offended.
For example, I find this kind of petty bickering offensive.
