sir,
i am interested to perform the thesis on the cancerous cell edge detection using ANN but i dont know how to start and how to train the n/w can any one please suggest me a source code or a beginning help

If you're planning to use Neural Network Toolbox, read the Getting Started
section of its documentation:

If you're planning to write your own, and need help not on the MATLAB coding
but on the theory behind neural networks, you should check the
comp.ai.neural-nets newsgroup and see if its FAQ contains any introductory
references. You can access this group via Google Groups
