From: Kenneth Tilton on 18 May 2010 22:33 That was quick, albeit truly bare-boned and truly proof-of-concept: http://wiki.github.com/kennytilton/qooxlisp/ Over the rest of the week I'll try to flesh out the apropos example as much as possible so it won't be so proof-of-concepty, then I need to get back to the Algebra app". Of course qooxlisp will be evolving along with the Algebra app, but only as the Algebra app requires. hk * Thanks a kabillion to this NG for turning me on to jsMath/MathJax, it's working like a charm. h -- http://www.stuckonalgebra.com "The best Algebra tutorial program I have seen... in a class by itself." Can't wait to see all the shiny stuff from Qooxdoo being available via Cells... Would like to use this then as the basis for a console/monitoring app for our new app "ProcessIntegrationBridge" (currently being implemented with ACL, AllegroGraph, a whole new ontology for Product Data Management, and RabbitMQ). Cheers Frank

Just persuaded qooxdoo to disclose the error when JS code I send over to eval goes belly up so things will go faster now. The demo app will include a datagrid fed as needed (to support user scrolling) from the server, so it's decent as demos go. Should have that working shortly and a new relase by the end of next week, then it's on to Algebra+web. qooxlisp (I am most interested in attracting qooxdoo users and felt lisp would have more recognition to non-lispers) is a relatively thin wrapper of qooxdoo so left as an exercise is mastering things like qooxdoo layout. And I am not sure how well I can macrofy things so there may be an occasional need to copy some boilerplate, say to handle an event I do not get around to wrapping. I'll try to macrofy so I can just list all the events for a class, but qooxdoo is huge so even then some wrapping may be left to others. > > Can't wait to see all the shiny stuff from Qooxdoo being available via > Cells... Ah, maybe I can use rabbitmq on the client to do comet. Thx for the lead. kt -- http://www.stuckonalgebra.com "The best Algebra tutorial program I have seen... in a class by itself." Macworld

Thx for the lead. Most likely this would be overkill... Setting up the whole RabbitMQ machinery ... There's http://github.com/lisp/de.setf.amqp if you really want to. Lisp native AMQP access to RabbitMQ. Cheers Frank
