Speakers of Indic languages have limited vowel phonemes and have to
struggle coping with English vowel phonemes. This genius is no
exception except he keeps trying to foist that limitation on speakers
of languages other than Bengali, in this case Gujarati as he has
always been made feel low compared with Gujaratis.

So he puts his hyper-correction in pronouncing snack and wrap onto
Gujaratis (his gujju). For us with Indian mother tongues
differentiating bet bat bate consistely is hard.
