Anyone using it ? Reviews ?

How about the "bootable media" ... will it create a bootable rescue CD or even possibly
a bootable rescue thum drive ???

Are there any free ones that you know off that are good and will create bootable CD or ideally flash drive?

It works fine here - although it doesn't run on 64 bit windows :-\.

It works great from the rescue CD though - and I also use the Acronis boot manager, so you can run
the partition manager from there ie before you boot into a partition. I'm not sure if it works with
a USB drive, but it works fine from a CD.

I have Acronis Backup and I know once you buy it you can download the
rescue media as an ISO file so you don't even have to install; think
I had to pay a fee for that though. But partition Manager is probably
the same way.
You may also want to check out Paragon Hard Disk Manager. I'm still
learning this program since it came with my new laptop but it runs on
64-bit, and when I checked out their forum I was struck by the prompt
response time and relative lack of complaints...

Paragon's a good product, I use it. I use Easeus too, it fixed one
system Acronis and Paragon couldn't.

IMO you can't have too many tools for fixing problems with partitions,
boot sectors etc. As Ben mentioned, the unix based cd's, also Ultimate
Boot CD for Windows, BartPE, WinPE, etc. are all good to have at hand.
Whatever works is what you should use :-)
