From: siaj on 20 Jul 2006 17:01 Hello, We are experiencing a problem were My Reporting Services Report are showing "Action Canceled" Message. Which says Internet Explorer was unable to link to the page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable. The report shows the message after an hour of running. I am running the report on a SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services with SP2. I see the execution log says the report finished with rsSuccess in 38 mts but I never get to see the reports. Also I can run the reports in History Snapshot but whenever I run this report real time..I get the above error. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, siaj
From: siaj on 20 Jul 2006 17:51 Just to add to that ..we have set the Execution timeout to "Do not time out". Even the Site Setting is done to "do not timeout". cheers, siaj "siaj" wrote: > Hello, > We are experiencing a problem were My Reporting Services Report are showing > "Action Canceled" Message. Hello Siaj, If you are seeing this message at exactly one hour of report runtime, you might want to try the below on the machine running the browser ... 1> Open a new file in notepad 2> paste the following lines >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings] "ReceiveTimeout"=dword:00a4cb80 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3> Save the file with a .reg extension. 4> Double click on the file to run it ... 5> Log out of the machine and log back in .. This should solve the 1 hour timeout of IE problem .... Now coming to my origional issue, I have this fix on the browser machine. But my reports fail after 45 minutes into execution while the stored proc associated with the report runs to completion on the database side... Any ides on why this might happen?
