Well, I'm assuming that it may be free for _one year,_ after which you
pay. It would be like a bundled antivirus (such as comes with Norton
Systemworks, System Mechanic, (Kaspirsky) etc.

http://www.pcauthority.com.au/download/aol-active-virus-shield.aspx

this website said it's "free commercial anti-virus client".

It's a AOL product that's based on the latest version of Kaspersky
antivirus (version 6). It has file and email modules only. Thus it
lacks the new Proactive Defense and Web Protection modules.
I warn people to uncheck the Toolbar option during the install
procedure.

I suggest downloading only from the AOL web site:

http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivirus/freeav/index.adp?

Again, the license agreement says "personal" and not "commercial"
or "business". So I don't trust the link you mention. Always download
from the author's or vendor's site.
