From: Dmitry A. Kazakov on 22 May 2010 04:49 It would be extremely helpful if Ada Debian policy contained a template or example of an Ada library package creation. P.S. Debian packaging tool chain is beyond understanding of a mortal man. P.P.S. Existing tools to convert RPM spec. files to Debian are not conform with the policy, e.g. "debbuild" creates only binary and source package. In order to get *-dbg, you have to dive into the spaghetti of Debian scripts... P.P.P.S. The purpose of "alien" is a mystery to me because it is supposed to convert a built RPM package into DEB. How to build an RPM package, that depends on DEB packages (which aren't packaged by RPM)? Looks totally useless... -- Regards, Dmitry A. Kazakov http://www.dmitry-kazakov.de
