Add Scrollbar to a grouped list

Hi,

I would like to add a scrollbar to a grouped view of a list. I was
able to accomplish this by adding a JQuery, however, everytime I open
the list with the scrollbar available the list expands every item. I
have the group setting set to collapse as well. Is this something that
SharePoint just won't allow?
