From: Kev on 21 Jul 2010 01:44 Hi Larry, Thanks for your input, as I have look into some of your responses. 1) Saw the 3rd party program, pretty nice, but a bit expensive for my needs and the client. 2) I've tried this many different ways, but I still can't send, it will produce the same error as before. 3) Never heard this one before... 4) I've tried this, but still doesn't work. I receive the Popup window to enter "the" password and it never sends. Is exchange server really limited by only sending from one SMTP? Because if I create a new user, and log onto that new user via OWA, I can send fine with the second domain. email is sent ok. but if I add the SEND AS or SEND ON BEHALF, produces the same error. This limitation seems a bit odd to me.
From: Kev on 21 Jul 2010 10:09 Hi Larry, Well, being frustrating at Exchange has it's advantages I guess. I setup the DL last night and left it over night not really thinking about it. This morning, I was able to send using the DL, and then changed the DL Email address to the second domain listing, and everything worked. I am going to wait another 2 hours (As I read that Exchange takes up to 2 hours to flush the cache) and make sure it does. But if it does, whooo! and thank you. Kevin I can post a How-To Just to ensure that people know how to do it.
From: Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP] on 21 Jul 2010 19:00 Thanks for the response. Note that you can remove and rebuild the cache in the outlook profile, accessed through Control Panel - Mail. -Larry -Please post the resolution to your issue so others may benefit. -Get Your SBS Health Check at www.sbsbpa.com > Hi Larry, > > Well, being frustrating at Exchange has it's advantages I guess. > > I setup the DL last night and left it over night not really thinking > about it. > > This morning, I was able to send using the DL, and then changed the DL > Email address to the second domain listing, and everything worked.
