I also like to find things out so tend to fiddle for the sake of fiddling. Hitting the option key is a common way of accessing alternative "modes" - for example, turning the "new playlist" button in iTunes into a "new smart playlist" button, or changing some menu items in some apps. -z- -- email: nettid1 at fastmail dot fm
