From: Kelly on 19 Apr 2010 05:35 Hello, Yes, when you go to the "Start" button and then "Programs", you see a list of all the current login "Usernames" listed. Currently, about 30 login names which are all accounts that login into the Terminal Server. Recently, my Group Policy object was deleted and I've recreated it. One of the policies that I have is the path to the redirection folder. From: Kudrat Sapaev on 19 Apr 2010 08:11 Did you check folder redirection setting for the Start Menu? Check it please and make sure the it is pointing to the proper folder containing Start Menu icon but no to the Users Profiles folder.
From: Kelly on 19 Apr 2010 19:37 Hi, Yes I did. It is pointing to a server and share that all the Redirected files are being created/stored on \\ServerName\ShareName. Here's what I think happened. A year and a half ago when I first set the Terminal Server up and was in the process of creating the Group Policy Group, one of the other IT folks said I could copy his and modify as needed. I copied his, but I wasn't able to do much with it and ended up creating my own. I took a look last week since I needed to add a policy, my GPO's were gone, but the other copies from the other IT person was there. I don't have security to modify or delete his, so I'm thinking somehow it's using this? I have contacted Corporate to see if they can get mine back or at least delete his. I have recreated and linked a new GPO, but I don't think it's complete without the main Object? I'm not sure if I'm naming everything correctly "above" and hopefully you are understaing what I'm trying to explain. Could this maybe be the issue? From: Kelly on 19 Apr 2010 19:39 I see I missed something here that you asked from me. I will check and see where the folder redirection for the Star menu points to. Sorry for the confusion. Hi, I couldn't find the exact setting for this, I did find some simaler settings, but I wasn't sure if it was the right one. Although none of the settings I found were enabled.
