From: Diane Poremsky [MVP] on 31 Dec 2009 16:17 I'm publishing it with a non-live address for the passport/live id. I'm guessing that something you did deleted the cookie (or something else) that was interfering with the authentication. I know from past experience that saving the liveid password is bad and it can affect the ability to log into sites so I never save it. Your problem and my initial problem publishing was probably due to something along this line. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request(a)lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST(a)PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM Poll: What version of Outlook do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=27072 "Susan Abraham" <susanmarshallabraham(a)gmail.com> wrote in message news:9a20b070-2d6e-4347-a439-8d922244df5d(a)j24g2000yqa.googlegroups.com... > This workaround didn't work for me, but I got something else to work > by trial and error. From: Hugh Jeego on 31 Dec 2009 18:20 Are you saying that publishing to Microsoft Online for calendars is now working? I still cant get it to work. When I clicked change account, in days gone by, it allowed me to upload the calendar ONCE ONLY and never again. Also, I never do save the password, either. I was expecting that they would fix the problem and all be OK again. Are you saying it isn't the case now? From: Hugh Jeego on 31 Dec 2009 18:28 If you want a real simple solution that works but manually: 1) Find somewhere where you can store the calendar. I will assume that you want to store it so that it can be accessed by more than one location so I will say "somewhere online such as a Gmail account, your own domain etc" but somewhere where you can put it without a link pointing to it. Eg, if your domain is www.thisismydomain.com then try making a dir of some name you like such as mycal for example and store your .ics there, under www.thisismydomain.com/mycal and don't link it. This requires the computer with the calendar that has the pertinent details to have you save the calendar then upload it to your preferred online spot. 2) Use the other computer where you will view but not change the calendar to SUBSCRIBE to where you put the .ics file. Now both computers (or more than one) have that calendar available to them. The only real drawback to this is that the computer with the real calendar on it that gets changed will have to have someone periodically save the entire calendar and upload it. You can make it easier for people to do that FOR you by creating a "Network Location" under the Computer icon and signing in to it, saving the password etc and show someone how easy it is to save the calendar and then how normal it is to copy and paste it to the network location, which is the spot on internet (assuming you control your own domain that is). Until this problem is sorted out at Microsoft, that is the only option that is worth it for single users with one or more remote location subscribers IMHO. I have looked at the other options and they do work (IwebCal under Joomla, for example, works to a point but doesn't show the calendar nicely at all!) but they take a lot of setting up, a lot of mucking around and they don't always come out the way you want. This way does. From: Hugh Jeego on 31 Dec 2009 18:29 How correct is it when published there? I have used IWebCal under Joomla that is supposed to support ICS and it comes out terribly. Not worth the trouble IMHO.
