From: rdemyan via AccessMonster.com on 28 Mar 2010 13:16 I'm beginning to look at how my application, developed in Access 2003, will function in Access 2007. So far it's going pretty well. However, the "Analyze it with Microsoft Office Excel" menu item, which was a standard item in A2003 results in an error with A2007, SP2. Before I installed SP2, my existing "Analyze it with Microsoft Office Excel" menu item was dimmed out when running my App in Access 2007. After SP2 installation, the menu item is now functioning but results in the following error: "The format in which you are attempting to output the current object is not available". In design mode in A2007, I have the ribbon command, "Export to Excel Spreadsheet", which seems to work fine. HOWEVER, in my app, I use custom menus and I do not make any portion of the development environment available to users. My basic question is: How can I get the export or analyze to Excel feature working in my current app. I do not want to change to ribbons, but would like to keep my existing custom menus. Can I mix custom menus with ribbons??? I don't think I can turn the A2007 Export to Excel Spreadsheet feature into a custom MENU item, because A2007 does not support editing/creating menu items. -- Message posted via AccessMonster.com http://www.accessmonster.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/access-reports/201003/1 |
