On the matlab figure, type A instead the angstrom symbol (that is capital A). This is to reserve space for the angstrom symbol. 2. Export to to EPS. 3. Edit, manually, the resulting EPS file, with text editor. Find the place with the "A" that you want to replace with the angstrom symbol, and type, instead, "\305" (that is: backslash-3-0-5). Save the file. 4. Now you're done. Open the EPS file with a postscript viewer and check the results.
