What's the emulator? I should be able to sort it here and let you
know.

And tut! for not having had a Dreamcast. It was a superb console, with
a ridiculously large number of excellent games across pretty much
every genre.

Dolphin:

It did, but they were all pretty pricey. I do keep looking at getting a
Dreamcast now but the price of the games do put me off.

Gosh, I had no idea that existed. With a bit of help from
http://www.lxdream.org/wiki/index.php?title=Getting_Started_%28Mac_OS_X%29
here you go:

So, start it up. Open Preferences.

In Finder, go find the Dreamcast BIOS and flash images that you no
doubt have to hand (if not, drop me a mail and I'll send them over).

Drag the BIOS image to the top field, and the flash image to the
second field. Don't worry about the other ones, but you need to click
in one of the other fields to save the first two (sanely behaving
OS-supplied UI elements? They might have heard of them...!).

Close the prefs. You should be able to press the green "go" arrow and
see the Dreamcast logo, followed by the start choosy screen. If not,
then your bios/flash are borked or otherwise not working.

So, press the disk button, and point it at the .CDI, .GDI, or .NRG
game disk image you have. Then press the reboot button, and your game
should boot. Hurrah!

Back to prefs, press the [A] button, and choose Sega Controller for
the slot 0, then set up your keys as you wish.

It seems to run at about 60% speed on my C2D 2GHz, 4gig, nVidia 9400
Mini.

Hm. Mind you, I can't get it to actually play any games. It loads up
the intros, game start screens, menus and whatnot, but either loses
too much of the graphics and I can't see what to do in a mass of
badly-shaded triangles, or just sticks on a black screen when I try to
start the game itself.

Any luck with Rez?

If SWMBO wasn't watching Brief Encounter I'd start it up on the Xbox
myself...
