1. These discs are not available in the US (this machine is about 6
years old). In general, once Microsoft discontinues an OS (and in this
case the OS is Windows ME), manufacturers are no longer allowed to
supply restore media for machines that used that OS.

2. I don't necessarily accept your contention that duplicating these
CDs is illegal. The CDs only run on the machine model that they were
made for, and a product key is still required (in addition to the CD).

3. And, the previous paragraph not withstanding, frankly, for personal
use, I don't care if legal or not, and neither do most other people.
I've duplicated CDs for people, and people have done it for me. An no
one was ever fined or put in jail for it.

They do not have this model [LATE 2805 series (with NVidia rather than
S3 video)].

It certainly is possible to get everything you need, and, indeed, I have
a copy of ME (that will install with an OEM product key from a Toshiba
COA) and all of the drivers. So I can get there. But I want the
original disk. Sometimes the destination isn't the entire story of a
journey ... HOW you get there is an issue also, at times. [and,
specifically, it takes hours of work to separately install the OS and
then all of the various drivers and programs vs. just start the restore
CD and come back when it's done]

Not interested in dealing with a site in the UK

Actually, I'd prefer to find an individual who has one and will
duplicate it.
