Well most of them have a cap which you will lose almost immediately. I'd probably go with the following. Good brand, cheap. 8GB, and no cap to lose. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178251 -- Dave C. <noway(a)nohow.never>

Lots of programs updated on a regular basis. Have a look on www.liberkey.com. Currently 277 applications, including open office, mailers, browsers, security, ... You also may install your own programs in certain circumstances. This explained on their site. Concerning the antivirus, I'm not sure that it's mandatory to have one. I'm highly concerned by the worthiness of most of them. They often don't detect anything. Go to www.virscan.org and www.virusscan.jotti.org , submit files your antivirus finds good. Twenty or more antivirus will scan your file and provide a better diagnostic. You'll be 100% surprized. My conclusion is that antivirusses are purely commercial unuseful things. With almost any of them, used alone, you've 60% chances to be infected. I've been browsing Internet for 20 years without resident antivirus but a correctly configured firewall. I'm not a saint if you understand what I want to say. When I'm not sure I scan the file with Mac Affee on demand. I never got any virus except in some cases where the antivirus didn't detect them !!! The reason why, now, I submit the files to the above sites. OTOH when you have experience you immediately know when you are infected. Hijackthis plus some process listers work miracles.
