Setting the display to a different (incorrect) resolution and then setting it back to the proper resolution frequently fixes this problem. Set it to the smallest size and then the largest size, app still off the screen.

If you use Spaces, you can use the "activate" hotkey (or button) to get a miniature of the defined spaces and then drag the miniaturized window to a reasonable place in the space. -- Tom Stiller PGP fingerprint = 5108 DDB2 9761 EDE5 E7E3 7BDA 71ED 6496 99C0 C7CF

Change the res temporarily to higher if you can. If not, hook up another screen and use the monitor prefs to make both screens part of one big desktop. You can put the second screen left or right, top or bottom. Surely you will find it then. And, may I suggest that when you do, you give the app a damn good thrashing for making you go to so much trouble. There is probably an Applecript that can be written to set the size of any open app window and to bring it to some coordinate that you want (rather than where it is in outer space). I recall messing with such things once and also recall a program in Mac OS < X that key commands would control where windows went, it might have been script based? -- dorayme |
