I have the McAlly BTKey, wireless extended, and it works great for me.
I probably use it more with my iPad than with the MacBook for which I
initially purchased it.

curious ... does it have to be un-paired with one before it can be
paired with the other?

It doesn't bother me one bit that the full-sized keyboard has a wire. In
fact, I wish Apple would do a wired version of the Magic Mouse.
