Apple wants to own you

Welcome to our velvet prison, say the boys and girls from Cupertino.

Customers try out the iPad

Steve Jobs has gone from producing a computerthe original
Macintoshthat he called "insanely great" to producing a
computerthe iPadthat is totally insane.

I have six words for you:

Don't like it? Don't buy it.

And a few more are:

Take the whining to an advocacy group.
Either that or expect to get added to (more) killfiles, such as mine.

I don't happen to like the iPad either, but I intend to take Jolly's
obvious advice about not buying it, and I don't intend to spend my life
whining about it on inappropriate groups (or at all).

Yes, that kind of continual whining will get you killfiled even by
people that might agree with you.
