It is very likely you don't have the necessary application installed on your system. Adobe reader, MS Office readers etc. Do you know what is the extension of the document? hth -- THE INFORMATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Why is this happening and how do open attachments > ? In order to open an attachment, you must have installed the appliction that can open the attachment. For example, if you receive a .doc attachment, you must have either Word, OpenOffice, or Word Viewer installed. If you do have such an application installed, then your Windows file associations are broken and you must repair them. Since that's not an Outlook issue but a Windows issue, the answer is out of scope for this newsgroup. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
