I eventually purchased two commercial products, neither of which was terribly expensive. Because this is a freeware NG, I'm prohibited from mentioning Aqua Real 2 as being outstanding, especially when viewed on a 52" HDTV. A few years ago, Sim Aquarium released a free version of one of their products. It was a plain tank -- sand bottom but no plants or ornaments of any sort -- but the fish were pretty realistic. If there's enough response from here, I could upload it somewhere. M
