Pretty good sound, stays in tune - what else can you ask for? I have a modified Oktava MKL 2500 (tube mic) for close micing - great on anything with strings thru a Manley dual mono mic pre. I used an original Rode NT2 thru an Avalon 737 for distant micing (3 or 4 feet).
