From: Phil Angus on 21 Dec 2009 09:33 Hi Guys, Is there a way for a user to attach a printer to his laptop (USB etc), and then print to it from a Terminal Server session? Scenario: User has a laptop in Italy. Logs in with Cisco VPN and logs in to Terminal Server in the UK. A document on the TS desktop needs printing. User currently has to email it from the Terminal server session within Outlook, so he can pick it up on his own email when he is off the VPN and then print it to his printer. Thanks.
From: Bob Campbell on 6 Jan 2010 11:48 Yes. The server needs to be Windows Server 2008. The client needs to be XP SP3, Vista or Windows 7 running Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe) 6.1 or 7.0. The client needs (of course) to provide local printers (on the Local Resources tab) before the connection is made. -Bob "Phil Angus" <phila(a)hammerplc.com> wrote in message news:O8g7gqkgKHA.2104(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi Guys, > > Is there a way for a user to attach a printer to his laptop (USB etc), and > then print to it from a Terminal Server session? > > Scenario: > > User has a laptop in Italy.
