From: Salad on 5 Apr 2010 21:29 I told somebody that if they wanted to distribute the app via email, go to the AutoFE folder, run StartMDB, and send the email. So the first thing I hear is, "I don't see no stinking AutoFE folder!". So I remote in and by golly the folder is hidden. So I change the property and it's no longer hidden but available to all. Q1) What can I do to make visible the AutoFE folder to certain users and hidden to the masses? Then the user clicked on StartMDB. The form didn't have the controls I viewed, he only had RunIniFile. I determined I am the only user in the AutoFEUpdater.ini file. I guess AutoFE program security gave me full rights, the others run rights only. Q2) I went to ControlPanel/System Info. Looked at computer name. The text box was blank. So I clicked on Device manager. There was the name I found in the ini file. Is that the name I fill in the ini file for other users? I REALLY like the email option for distributing the app. Since I had set it up, all I wanted the other users to do was access the email section. Q3) In a future release would it be possible to set it up it up to permit other users to send an installation email and maybe run the ini configuration but not run the other parts? Q4) If someone figured out the INI AutoFEUpdater.ini file, couldn't they just open it up and make themselves users as well...if they could see and move to the AutoFE folder? Basically I wouldn't mind me and one other person that can set up the apps, run the wizard. The rest could run the email distribution process. Since people come and go, leaving it to one or two users may be limiting. Q5) How many people can be in the AutofeUpdater.INI file? Is 5 the max? Thanks
