How can the autocomplete function within the address bar of Outlook be
disabled? I do not want suggestions of e-mail addresses to come up anymore
when I type the first letter of the address.

Turn off autocomplete in Tools, since you dont mention version of Outlook
you'll have to search within Tools

The version of Outlook is '2003'.
