Try reading again. OK, originally it was not your example (it was Nik's), and originally it was not your claim (Nik claimed that omitting semicolons was bad practice). However, although you asked him about that claim and eventually made a claim of your own in questioning it, in my opinion you have not made a convincing argument your claim's favor yet, while Nik has in his claim's favor. PointedEars -- Prototype.js was written by people who don't know javascript for people who don't know javascript.
