I had tried it on one PC of mine and it does not update easily specially if you are on a slow speed internet connection...Itmake that pc run slower if compared to its predecessors avira 9.0. Maybe the 256 MB RAM is the culprit? Roy

Maybe the 256 MB RAM is the culprit? It seems like it's more of a memory HOG, I'm back running v10 on all my box's, if I had v9 running I could do a memory comparison.
