From: Jay on 29 Jul 2010 15:10 How can I do "axis image" and still have the cropped axes appear at the same width and height as the original axes? I don't want them to shrink. When I do "axis image", it crops the empty space off of my pcolor plot. That is good. The bad part is that the axis "Position" property doesn't change. I'm trying to do a subplot with a pcolor plot for the top and a regular plot on the bottom, but I want the axis width to appear the same for both. Has anybody done this?
From: Jay on 29 Jul 2010 15:40 It looks like linkaxes will get me there. It isn't easy, but I'm learning. I would delete this question since I think I know the answer, but I don't think I can.

I think in order to do what you want, you are going to have to give up on using "axis image", possibly substituting "axis equal" instead.
