From: Alexei Boulbitch on 1 Mar 2010 04:44 Dear Community, I faced a following problem: On my notebook PC (Windows 7, Mathematica 7) the operations like Panel or Manipulate have an unexpected appearance of a gray frame with a white (instead of LightGray) background, and a non-convex appearance. A usual Panel appearance (e.g., convex with a gray background) can be seen on my stationary PC (Windows XP, Mathematica 7). This might have a minor problem in general, if I would not use my notebook for lecturing. In the latter case it is very important, how striking my message is. For this reason I would prefer a traditional appearance of Panel. Now comes my question: Could you give me a hint, of how I could repair this? I can control the color of the Panel using the option like say, Background->LightGray, but the convex appearance is then lost. Further, I could not at all find how to introduce any analogous option for Manipulate. Any idea? Thank you, Alexei -- Alexei Boulbitch, Dr., habil. Senior Scientist IEE S.A.
