From: Matt on 18 Dec 2009 16:47 I would like to buy _Real and Complex Analysis_, 3rd Ed. by Rudin. What are people's experiences with the cheaper (paperback) International Edition? Is the page numbering the same? Is the printing quality comparable? Are the contents word-for-word the same? Thanks.

Which was the reason I once bought it and ignored the rest.

Then I guess you are saying you don't know whether the page numbering is different or the quality is different.

Then I guess you are saying you don't know whether the page > numbering is different or the quality is different. I have Chinese edition which is *not* the same as international edition. It is a softcover, the paper is a bit thinner and a bit grayish rather than white. Otherwise it is completely identical to the original. I know it doesn't answer your question, but that's the one I got. I have Baby Rudin international edition, the paper is white, and not as thin as Papa Rudin Chinese edition (above). I remember finding a couple of misprints in my Baby Rudin, had to check the original hardcover version to correct. (math symbols weren't typeset correctly).
