From: Craig on 12 Apr 2010 11:16 So... Y.a. product that I haven't tried personally (yet). This one is, well, maybe off-topic. Let's say you have always wanted to try Drupal or Coppermine or MediaWiki or... but the installs are. just. so. fscking. time. consuming. They might require Apache, MySQL, PHP or Ruby. Yuck. Enter Bitnami. They have pre-configured stacks to install directly on your client or stacks including OS, for VM and for Cloud(!) installs. (Makes me think I'm closer to trying that Eucalyptus after all.) Check out the available stacks here <http://bitnami.org/stacks>. Warning, blurb ahead: > Refreshingly simple! > > Free, easy to setup wikis, blogs, forums and many other web > applications that you can run locally or in the cloud. BitNami makes > deploying server software a simple and enjoyable process. Learn More > Download Now Run your favorite apps... Alfresco, Joomla!, Drupal, > Redmine, Mediawiki, Trac, Wordpress, Roller, DokuWiki, Subversion, > SugarCRM... on your favorite platform <http://bitnami.org/> -- -Craig
