From: Subu on 24 Feb 2005 12:03 Hello all: I would like to know if there is any Bluetooth adapter or PCMCIA cards ( used in notebooks) that support wake on bluetooth. Also does MS XP sp 2 support wake on bluetooth. I saw in one of the presentations on the microsoft site that wake on bluetooth is a post SP2 feature. is this true? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Subu
From: Chris Tacke, eMVP on 24 Feb 2005 12:45 It's not the peripheral that would dictate the ability to wake on comm, it would be the host. I'm not aware of any PPC that will wake on PCMCIA/CF data as the slot (and the inserted device) is powered off during sleep. -- Chris Tacke Co-founder OpenNETCF.org Has OpenNETCF helped you? From: Peter Foot [MVP] on 24 Feb 2005 14:31 I don't know of any plans to add wake on bluetooth either in a future XP service pack or beyond but it certainly seems that it's not supported in XP SP2. You could try posting in an XP related newsgroup and you may get an official MS reply.
