Regardless of your political bent, I just wanted to say, I was in
Washington DC yesterday and it was a pretty moving experience to see
all the flags at half-mast for Senator Byrd.
Particulalry so at the Washington Monument, with the Stars and Stripes
dancing across a bright blue and white clouded sky.

Of course, it felt like 100-degrees out too, but you can't have
everything. :)
