It's a crippled app that runs a few bundled games which hardly qualifies it
as an emulator.

That might change ofcourse.

In the meantime I have only one thing to suggest to iPod/iPhone users...

BEWARE!

Do NOT call this a C64 emulator. I jumped onto the ap store and bought this
software faster than you can blink after reading the description.

The first thing I was met with is the power-up screen which states that
BASIC is not yet available (possibly in a future update), and that there are
five games included, and more may come later.

If I can't have access to the drives, .d64 files, and the real BASIC prompt
of the C64, this is not an emulator, or at least not a complete one.

It is a PARTIAL emulator which right now does nothing but play five
pre-packed games, and none of which are terribly good. Certainly none of the
classics are included.

I'm not saying don't buy it. I'm just saying be better-educated than I was
before you do.

I mean this is a fantastic first step, but it is FAR short of what most
people want or expect in a C64 emulator.

I am, however, willing to wait for those features to appear.

Sean.

Since you have already paid for it, waiting and hoping is your only option
isn't it? ;-)

Why get an excessively overpriced iPone and then jailbreak it, taking
away the most significant difference with yet-another-50-bucks-mobile-phone?

Get some half baked multimedia smart phone, they are not only a lot
more free and cheaper than an iPone and still have more apps and
features available.

I went in big time and bought a 38 Samsung SGH-250 which can play MP3,
has a slot for sd chips, can be used as a modem, has radio, can serve as
a blue tooth headset (so I can actually skype on my computer with my
phone as a headset), photos, modem for my netbook over bluetooth,
movies, internet, millions of Java Apps and Games available - most even
for free and without corporate cencorship.

Ad the best things: a lot smaller than the iphone, can be controled
with a single hand, doesn't need some nazi shop-software for getting
music, instead relies on a full competitive open market of digital
online music.
