From: Tim Meddick on 28 May 2010 15:41 Incidentally, I am *not* the OP - in this case, it was "followet". Most of the responses were to warn the OP that he/she could be doing something illegal by using a key on a re-used XP installation or on a duplicate one. Plus,we all know about programs like Magic Jelly Bean Keyfinder v2.0.1 and such, but what you may not know is; on many Windows installations, the "key" is not included in the registry for the finder-program to find! Not only that, but, on OEM installations , when installed on a machine for which they were not originally designed, the product-key is not all that is needed, but installation must be completed, online, with a registration-code (different to the product-key)... But I am sure the OP would thank you anyway for the information. == Cheers, Tim Meddick, Peckham, London. :-) "SayWhat" <SayWhat(a)daltontel.net> wrote in message news:uKLdzvg$KHA.5464(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > If you would install and run Belarc Advisor it will tell you what key is > on the computer. > > < clipped >
