Semantic technologies can play a major role in enhancing the reusability and extensibility of software systems, supporting improvements in quality assurance and measurement, speeding software development through semantic-aware component-based systems and commercially off the shelf products (COTS), and many other areas. Software engineering research can hence highly benefit from semantic techniques. We solicit high-quality contributions with consolidated and thoroughly evaluated application-oriented research results or review articles in the area of semantic enabled software. SUGGESTED TOPICS: * Visions for semantic-based software development * Integration of software and Semantic Web languages * Integration of formal methods and Semantic Web languages * Software specification and Semantic Web languages * Component discovery and ontologies * Feature modeling and ontologies * Ontology reasoning for software engineering * Semantic annotations in software engineering * Semantic Web-based knowledge management for software engineering * Ontology-driven software architectures * Semantic technologies in software maintenance tools * Semantic business process modeling * Semantic Web and software architectures TIMELINE: Submission Deadline: 1-June-2010 Reviews Completed: 15-Aug-2010 Major Revisions Due: 1-Oct-2010 Re-reviews Completed: 1-Dec-2010 Minor Revision Due: 1-Jan-2011 Final recommendations: 15-Jan-11 Final Manuscripts Due: 1-Feb-11 PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS Authors are invited to submit original research contributions in PDF format to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/smcc-ieee.
