I merged this (patch 3) - but patch 4 (and thus patch 5) did not merge.

Also patches 4 and 5 had trivial checkpatch warnings.

Patch 6 looks afs related so should probably merge out of your tree,
but it doesn't matter to me.
What about patches 1 and 2 - which is easier?
