From: Jim Peterson on 12 Apr 2010 17:47 I asked a question earlier today and Diane Poremsky was kind enough to help with that, so I'm hoping she or someone else can answer my second question. Again, I'm running XP Pro and Office Pro 2007. When I switch to my calendar in Outlook the Folder List appears in the left hand pane as expected. The current month's calendar shows in the top of this pane and then all other folders are in the bottom of the pane. However, only the current month's calendar shows in the top of the pane. Is there any way to expand that portion of the pane so two months show at the same time. I realize I can collapse the All Folders lower section of the pane and have a number of month's calendars show, but I want to keep the All Folders section as is and just expand the calendar section above it slightly. (There is room, btw, on my monitor to make this happen.) Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jim

It didn't solve a problem in Outlook 2003. It enabled a function in Outlook 2007 that Outlook 2003 didn't have: overlaid calendars. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

When enough room has been made, a second Date Navigator month will appear. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
From: Diane Poremsky [MVP] on 13 Apr 2010 15:51 The new calendar overlay doesn't work with compressed weekends - had they been able to make it work, they would have. Same for the week "planner" view that is 2 columns. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request(a)lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST(a)PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM New Poll: What type of email account is your main account? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=42402 "Jim Peterson" <JimPeterson(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B44B1F73-C360-4853-8041-E49E2BD22D87(a)microsoft.com... > Thanks for the reply Diane, though it wasn't the answer I was hoping for > obviously. > > I wonder why MS made this change, or I guess the correct question is what > problem in Outlook 2003 did this change solve. From: Diane Poremsky [MVP] on 13 Apr 2010 15:57 You should have as many vertical as there is room for on the left. you can also pull the vertical bar inward to show more in each row. pull the buttons down, remove or collapse unnecessary calendar groups. put toolbars on one row. this is from a small monitor: http://slipstick.me/jing/cal.png -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request(a)lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST(a)PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM New Poll: What type of email account is your main account? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=42402 "Jim Peterson" <JimPeterson(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:DD264C17-BFCB-4194-8801-967F277A276F(a)microsoft.com... > I asked a question earlier today and Diane Poremsky was kind enough to > help > with that, so I'm hoping she or someone else can answer my second > question. > > Again, I'm running XP Pro and Office Pro 2007. > > When I switch to my calendar in Outlook the Folder List appears in the > left > hand pane as expected.
