I installed this on my system at one point and was horrified at how it
raped my registry with thousands of entries. Since I'd monitored the
installation, I was able to completely remove it but only after a lot of
difficulty and effort.

To convert e-books, I use one of ABC Amber's products:

http://processtext.com/index.html

and turn them into either .txt or .rtf format. Then I use a commercial
word processor to turn them either into .pdf or .wpd files which look
like a book.

Works for me.

As for Calibre though, I won't use it unless they do something about how
it floods the registry.

John Corliss BS206. Because of all the Googlespam, I block all posts
sent through Google Groups. I also block as many posts from anonymous
remailers (like x-privat.org for eg.) as possible due to forgeries
posted through them.

No ad, CD, commercial, cripple, demo, nag, share, spy, time-limited,
trial or web wares OR warez for me, please. Adobe Flash sucks, DivX rules.

Personnaly, I hate the way Calibre works, but I have to deal with about 5-
6000 ebooks and it's the only one that is complete enough to do the job I
need.
