From: dustinhess on 9 Jan 2010 07:32 I created a drop down list from a group of more than 8 items (12 items). When the drop down list arrow is clicked, Excel shows the first eight than has the block on the right hand side to scroll down the list. I would like to see every item in the group at the same time. Is there a way to make my view longer to include all 12 items?

From: T. Valko on 9 Jan 2010 12:09 You can use a combo box from the Forms toolbar which allows you set how many items are displayed. However, a combo box is setup differently from a data validation list. A combo box is *always* visible while a dv list is only visible when you select the cell that contains the drop down. Also, if you need to use the selection in formulas the method of doing so is a bit more complicated than referencing the cell selection from a dv list. Post back with more details if you want to pursue this. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "dustinhess(a)jore" <dustinhess(a)jore@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3CB5DBD0-95C9-4E66-9EA0-BFF4AAB21A84(a)microsoft.com... >I created a drop down list from a group of more than 8 items (12 items). > When the drop down list arrow is clicked, Excel shows the first eight than > has the block on the right hand side to scroll down the list.
