Hey,
I want to set different tab settings in different sections within a document.
So for example, I divide a document into three sections. Can I set different
tab setting for those sections? Thanks a lot!

You can set tab stops individually for any given paragraph, but the most
efficient method is to define specific paragraph styles that incorporate the
desired tab stops and then apply the styles as required.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm for general
principles. Keep in mind that, when you set tab stops in a given paragraph,
those settings will be maintained in every subsequent paragraph of the same
style (created by pressing Enter at the end of the given paragraph). If you
want to change the tab settings in existing paragraphs, you must select them
first and then set the tab stops on the ruler or through the Tabs dialog.

You can have a different tab setting for every paragraph if you want. There's
information on setting tabs in this article:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm

However, there are better ways of formatting your paragraphs than tabs. Look
into indents and tables, as well.
