From: Gerobak on 20 Jun 2007 05:41 I install the UDB Ver 8.2 FixPack 9 on HP Proliant Server running RHEL 4 and Java Version is 1.4.2. After install, i try to create new database. i got error "SQL22204N The DB2 Administration Server encountered a non- severe error while executing a request..." and if i try to create again after that error message, i alwasy get error "SQL4414N The DB2 Administration Server is not active...." here is what i try : - i already run db2admin start, and DAS was successfully started - Port 523 is not blocked by firewall. - i already run dasiupdt command Has anyone gotten the combination of these two errors SQL22204N and SQL4414N and found a solution? Thanks in advance

Do you get the same output when try to create the database from command line at the server hosting the instance? Darko Krstic
From: Gerobak on 20 Jun 2007 23:46 Hello Darko.. 1st of all, thanks for your reply... no, i dont install new FP for existing db2 instance.. i installed a fresh one. the cd db2 already have FP 9 on it. i think the FP is bundled to the installer but yes, i did issue db2iupdt but it doesn't solve the problem i try to create the db from command and i don't get the same output instead... i can create it new database
