But in my opinion: library = bunch of functions/classes framework = library of high level functionality + recommended way of using the library Wikipedia has a slightly different definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_library http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_framework rt.jar is definitely a library. I would say that certain parts of it would qualify as frameworks. Can we call a library consisting of both frameworks and non-frameworks for a framework? Flip a coin! Arne |
