Instead of viewing (no pun intended) light as simply a wave packets, I
am proposing a geometric description of this wave packet, which is
that it's an e/m field in compressed spacetime, with the compression
proportional to the energy of the packet (denoted by its frequency).

In my interpretation, this "packet" is formed by a combination of
spin-1 neutral particles whose rest mas is very nearly zero and of
neutral charge traveling at speeds very near the speed of light (with
some traveling slightly faster, and some slightly slower). These
particles' paths overlap to form the wave packet of velocity c. The
average energy of these particles is just hc/l, where l is the
wavelength of the packet these particles form.

The localized compression of spacetime which forms the wave packet (of
a given length) is the DIRECT RESULT of the localized gravitational
distortion of spacetime caused by the relativistic mass of the above
particles traveling at speeds near c.
